The crazy thoughts!

Life has been so crappy for the past 1 month that I have totally forgotten to post about this. It’s not important but definitely something that I will never forget for the rest of my life.

Does god listen to what we think and wish for in our mind?

Well after the incident that took place last month I am having doubts about this statement.

Two months back during a discussion with my office colleagues I shared with them how my brother was very good friend of injuries when he was a kid. I also shared with them how I am stranger to all this. Immediately in my mind I had a thought about what it feels like going through a major injury that disturbs your routine life.

Well it was only a thought! Just a thought!

Never knew I will be given a chance to taste it.

The taste of it was far bitter than what I have imagined.

Last month during a family trip to langkawi I decided to try something very adventurous and ended up paying high price for it. Brother and I went on parasailing and due to some unknown reasons I fractured my two toes.

For someone who have not tasted any physical injuries since childhood this fracture came as a surprise. The surprise followed by a long medical leave for 3 weeks, a fracture cast on my leg and two crutches to support me for the rest of the 3 weeks!

I still remember the expression on the doctor face when I asked him “so you mean I can’t go to work for 3 weeks”. I must have looked like one crazy patient who doesn’t understand the basic meaning of fracture cast.

My friends and colleagues told me it’s fun to rest at home and tried to convince me not to get depressed about the fracture. Staying at home for 3 weeks is not fun and especially if you have to limit sitting in just 1 place!

Three weeks was definitely not easy. Besides of not able to walk on my own feet and not able to do even simple tasks, I had to face some issues at work due to my long medical leave. All this tensions stressed me up and one person who got affected by my mood swings was V. Felt sorry for him but couldn’t help it.

Every day was a like a week; a week was a month and so on. I hated the fact that even weekends were dragging. I guess that’s the first time in my life I wished for a shorter weekends.

I am still not out from the one month. Even now sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night just to check if there is a fracture cast on my leg! I know this sounds crazy!

keeping aside all the pain I had to go through I still loved the parasailing experience:)

Oh god I do wish for lot more good things in my mind. How I wish all of that come true just like this crazy thought!

Midnight

Three years back this word was a dream for me. When I studied in college (well I still study in college just that it’s a higher step)I told myself that at least once in a life I have to stay out of the house at 12am(no it’s not Gandhi ji concept). This wish was fulfilled when I attended Indian concert in my college. The concert ended late by 11.30 I was still waiting for the bus. I was tensed about receiving scolding from my parents for coming home late while my thoughts were interrupted by this scream “Rika its 12.am!” .My friend was trying to remind me that I achieved my ‘midnight freedom’ sheesh (yea all my friends back than knew how much I wanted this ‘midnight freedom’). When I think of those childish days I just can’t stop laughing now. I remember this incident everyday when I am on the way home late from college. Now almost whole week I reach home close to midnight and this thought of ‘midnight freedom’ don’t excite me anymore.

How Strange that things or thoughts that mean so much to us at point of time doesn’t make a difference anymore.

Bangalore alias Bengalooru

Na it’s neither my home city nor the place I studied , It's a city where I spend two days of my life.Suddenly I wanted to blog about this place because of the below conversation

My Colleague: “So which part of India are you from?”
Me: “Hyderabad”
My Colleague: “Huh? Where is that? Never heard of it”
Me: “oh it’s also known as one of the IT cities in India”
My Colleague: “Oh I only heard that Bangalore is an IT city”
Me: sheesh. I should have just said it’s called “city of Pearls”

So coming back to the story of my experience in Bangalore, it’s was between good and worst. The impression of Bangalore was very good. I still remember smiling at my cousin at the airport not because of seeing him after 4 long years but to see him wearing a jacket and that too in summer season. Never did I know that I have to come across the cold chills on the way home in the car. On the day I landed there it was very cold and simply superb. For once I thought finally I was in different kind of place in India. If that was my impression at 2am in the morning the impression at 9am in the morning slightly took a change.

Busy roads, horrible traffic, pollution and of course added with hot sun. The mall he took me to was good, full of branded clothes and I was surprised how rapidly India developed (4 years of gap can result in lot of surprises). I was excited with lot of changes in India which resulted in me trying to peek out from the auto just to see the city and received this comment from cousin “don’t look out like that, people from village who have never seen a city do that”. Sheesh what a comparison. We watched a movie in IMAX which was impressive. The rest of the day was simple as I left that city in the evening.

My second trip to Bangalore was tiring. Second cousin took me to few temples and I loved the interior of the temples. Again it was simple day but my final destination airport was not good at all.

So despite of those simple sweet moments, if I am given a chance to go back to that city my answer is NO.

Sometimes memories matter more than the surroundings.

Good student turned bad

I have to blog about this before I lose those memories.

I lost my mind totally in the class today. I was laughing non stop for "no reason" during my lecture today. Firstly I was sitting in the second row. Secondly it was my favourite subject. So if you ask me why I was still losing my mind , the reason is my teacher. She was so boring ( na she didn't put me to sleep. I will save that for programming subjects). Her words were faster than the computer screen. Was not able to catch up with her teaching and her "examples". My friend sharmilee was almost asleep so I decided to wake her up by joking about this whole teaching method. I laughed so much that new students in my class who I haven't introduce to were smiling at me and sharmilee guaranteed that I will lose my 5 marks for class participation after seeing the teacher's reaction.

Even before we started on our assignment one our lecturer announced this " two lectures are done you can do your assignment two also". Oh god I heard of fast teaching but this is rocket speed teaching. During a 'mini break' of 5 minutes I managed to get hold of my teacher's attention to ask if she can upload the teaching slides online(students and teachers had a different copy with a funny copyright issues matters). She immediately said "No I won't upload the notes". After hearing this my friend warned me " Don't you move on to your next question"(I was about to ask her if she can slower her rocket speed teaching method) but I backed out after this failure.

Something kept me laughing throughout the class. Partially the girl beside me was a reason too. She was panicking as if its the final exam by trying to copy the "different copy slides" and constantly troubling me with this question " Rika did you hear what she said. did you?". Sheesh.

If that is inside story now it's the outside story. From the college to train station my classmates didn't fail to remind me how crazy I turned out today which just made me laugh more.

This is only for today No more wasting brain resources during classes.Promise :)

Afterall being bad once in a while is not that bad. I have never done this in my life(considering the fact that friends called me bookworm of the class).Since very long I didn't laugh so much and actually I am very happy despite of laughing for no reason.

Aaj .......Aaj ek hasi aur baant loon.....
Aaj ek dua aur maang loon......
Aaj ek ansoon aur pee loon.....
Aaj ek zindagi aur jee loon...
Aaj ek sapna aur dekh loon.....

Unexpected

It was just like any other normal day but suddenly life's of few people changed. My grandfather passed away on Aug 20th morning. Received the news when I was on the way to office. The longest journey I had in my life is coming back home that day. Every second was a torture. While I was on the way home my thoughts were about grandfather. Last time when I saw him he couldn't even recognize me. Its my fault. Since I shifted to Singapore he sees me only once in a blue moon. Lastly in his life he asked me to do something which I refused to do it and now I feel guilty that i didn't fulfill that. That's was the only thought which went on in my mind until i came back home and tears rolled down my eyes in guilt.

Since than I realized that we shouldn't hesitate to tell anything to others or do what they wished for. Life is unpredictable so don't stop yourself to say sorry to someone or showing love to someone. This made me say sorry to my second cousin who is more like a friend to me on his birthday. Sometimes we tend to move on in life without noticing that we are leaving our loved ones behind us. Its best to stop and look back at our life and what we are really missing.

So much for staying aboard. Grandfather couldn't recognize his granddaughter. Dad couldn't see his father for the last time. Grandchildren of the family couldn't be part of their grandfather's last journey in life.

Thanks to all my friends who were concerned about me and gave me support.
For people who thinks that losing a person in your family is NOT A BIG DEAL just because its an aged person. I am so sorry i pity your loved ones. You have to do some soul searching dude.

One thing I realized. People we feel are the dearest may not really be the dearest in our life. Sometimes all you need is a stranger to make you feel better in life.
Maybe its true that you need bad times in life to see the true side of people around you.

I learnt my lesson.

Hope your soul rest in peace Grandpa. We will miss you especially dad.

1st Pay

In every person's life first pay is something very special. The person will be waiting for the first pay to buy something for their family for themeselves. It's a feeling you can't express in words.

First pay gives you a sense of independence, happiness and of course it comes with heavy responsibility feeling.

Ya today I am feeling every bit of this. Seeing my first pay deposited into my bank account was the best thing ever. First thought came into my mind was "1 month of hard work". This took me back to my very first pay in my life MY INTERNSHIP. That special day is still very clear in my mind. I withdrawed my full salary which was less than 600$ and came home very excitedly. Asked mom, bro and dad to take the money and everyone refused so I decided to keep it in front of god. Ya i was very happy i am still the typical Indian at heart.I love it that way. Best moment was when me and bro shared money to buy mom's birthday gift.

When my boss asked me today if i am buying something for myself with my 1st pay of my life the first thought came into my mind was my family especially mom because she deserves the best.

Finally i am feeling satisfied.

Bre-ak UP

Why do two people break up when they were actually in love at one point of time ?

This is the question thats goes in my mind when if hear news from my friends or any other people.Since I wondered why this happen i thought of few possiblities.

1. Either one of them will get bored of other . This happens when one of the patner patience limit is over and their feelings are not the same anymore. That brings me to the point how would anyone's feelings changes over the same person. Ya at one point of time it will be a positive feeling and it would change for some reason.

2. Patners separate due to difference in terms of habits, opinions , like and dislikes. This is the most common break up. Guy wouldn't want the girl to mix with certain people, leave out certain hobbies. Girl would be possessive towards the guy.

3. No crying No argument No Anger. A well "matured" good bye. In this two people would separate based on mutual respect. This happens when both of them love each other very much but yet they need time to know what they really want in life and they need time to find out if this is what they actually want in life. They need time and distance to prove if they want to spend their whole life with that patner. If the distance doesn't turn out to be positive this two people remains as strangers for the rest of their lifes and well settled with other people.

No matter what is the reason fo the break up it still amazes me how someone can break up with their patner for reasons which were actually the most sweet things you liked in them at point of time and those reasons where the foundation of the realtionship.

We are Humans na. After all we have the power to forget everything eh?
